Rockford IL – Comtech Corporation of Rockford, IL receives Silver Distinction Awardfrom The Communicator Awards for their work for Rockford Mass Transit District.

The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Founded by communication professionals over a decade ago, The Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio. The past year’s 14th Annual Communicator Awards received over 8,500 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, a 200+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.

Comtech Corporation produced the multi-media campaign for the Rockford Mass Transit District. The campaign consisted of a DVD presentation titled “Perception vs. Reality”, which debunked the “urban myths” of mass transit, while presenting the need for and affordability of mass transit in the greater Rockford area. The treatment was based upon random “man on the street” interviews which were conducted throughout the city. The DVD was packaged with the RMTD’s printed Annual Report; two thirty second broadcast television commercials were also produced, which completed the campaign materials.
